This tower restoration is one of the most significant contracts to be carried out in Cambridge in the last decade. It includes the replacement of 22 tonnes of Tottenhoe ashlar, 4 new belfry ringing chamber windows, new buttress weatherings, string courses and the complete replacement of the parapet from belfry string course level.
All new lead gutters have been installed, guilding has been carried out on the weather vein and new leaded glass has been installed to the clock chamber window.

On this project we removed the old wall and basework, formed a new foundation, rebuilt the brickwork to follow the curve of the pavement, and manufactured and installed over 92 meters in length of new Woodkirk sandstone coping. Following this came the installation of new iron railings. 846 holes had to be core-drilled out of the stone to accommodate the lead.

Tower & Nave restoration carried out in 2007
This project involved 50% rake out/repoint, and 50% rebuild of cobbles to the tower, various stone replacement, including new parapet copings, new North window, buttress weatherings, string and plinth course, 1.5m deep root barrier, lime plastering and complete rebuild and replacement of 4 buttresses.

This building was in a poor state and in need of some new stonework, such as window mullions, gable finials, copings and carved pannels. It also required major brickwork replacement, and 560m2 of brickwork repointing to the main house and garage block.

View St Peter's Church, Wentworth Gallery
New stone capped wall with railings.
The replacement of a run down wall, capped with York stone copings, and finished with restored railings.
5 new large bullnosed steps have also been replaced at building entrances, between the new wall.
